A key aspect of patients transports at the ICU is the use of a transport checklist, which is performed in a ‘call-and-response’ fashion. In addition to providing a final check before moving from one location to another, the checklist provides an opportunity to ensure that all team members are aware of the issues, their roles, and have the opportunity to speak up.
